When you are looking for that washer and dryer of your dreams it is not very easy to pick out the one that you want to take home with you. Ok maybe a washer and dryer are not in your dreams but you know that you need them based off of the pile of laundry that is in your basement.  When your laundry system goes down or you feel that you will beat them to the breakdown point and replace them, it is good to do some comparison shopping . You want to make sure that you are purchasing the set that you want to buy instead of the set you feel you have to buy.

Looking at Washers
When doing some comparison shopping for washers, you have to determine what kind of household you are. Depending on how many people you have in your home and how often you wash your clothes depends on if you need a front loading washer or a top loading washer. 
For most people when they think of the idea that they will put their clothes in a washing machine that loads from the front, they do not like or understand how that works. People will meet sales people who try to explain how the front loading washer works but it really does not matter. What really matters is that it bigger, it will clean your clothes better, and it will not damage your clothes. When comparison shopping you will find that the washer industry is turning over to the front loading washers for their future. 

What people do not like when they are shopping around is that the front loading washers do cost more than your conventional washer. They are more energy efficient by not using nearly as much water and preserving your clothes longer so you do not have to buy new clothes so soon. This will usually make people understand the cost difference.  It is a lot easier to use the front load washer as well. You put the clothes in push the power button and select the type of clothes you want to wash. Then you simply walk away. You do not have to turn any additional knobs or mess with any water levels. This makes doing laundry much easier.

Looking at Dryers
Shopping for Dryers is a little easier than comparison shopping for dryers. When people are looking for a dryer, they are typically just looking for the one that matches the washer they found. Many times a person will simply pick the dryer because that is the one that comes with it. Sometimes there might be a change you can make, but the manufacturer typically makes the sets match and look different than the other ones.

When a customer comes into a store and they are looking for a dryer, they typically have two options. They can either go with the old conventional dryer or they can get the upgraded dryer. When they get the upgraded dryer, most of the time they wonder if they can get the set. They do not want their set to not match. That decision is totally up to the shopper when comparison shopping. If the deal is just right for them, the person will opt to get the set over having a mismatch set. Also, if they get the higher end dryer with the idea to get the matching washer, you must wonder if it will be available. Models change all the time and your matching washer might not be there.
