The Best Podcast Ever

Jackie pushed a button, and the recording began.

“Hello, everyone!” she said enthusiastically.

“This is Jackie again. Welcome to another amazing edition of our monthly Self Storage Podcast . Tonight we will discuss tips on getting the most out of your unit with effective packing solutions. We will also discuss the different aspects of temperature controlled units and what they are used for. But first, I have a special guest with me on the line. His name is Jason, and he is the owner of three facilities in the Dallas area that offer all of the great services and conveniences that you have come to expect as a discerning self storage customer. Jason, are you there?”

Jackie had been surprised when Jason called her up right before the show and told her that he had some very pertinent information regarding the industry that he wanted to share with the audience. Jason and Jackie had been dating since they met over a year ago at a self storage funding benefit in Austin that they both happened to be attending for their jobs, and when Jason said it was big news, she believed him.

“Yes, Jackie, I’m here. How are you this evening?” Jason asked.

“I’m great, Jason, thanks. You spoke with me earlier and said that there had been some recent changes in the industry that were big news. I haven’t heard anything about that. Would you share it with us?” she asked, completely clueless as to what Jason was referring to.

“Yes, Jackie. I’d love to share it with the audience. You see, I’ve been in this industry for over ten years, and this is by far the biggest thing that has happened, as far as I’m concerned. I’m in love with the most beautiful and amazing self storage sales force leader in the country, Jackie, and it’s you. Over the last year, I have come to realize that I want to be with you always. Jackie, will you marry me?”

Jackie sat in stunned silence, replaying what she had just heard in her mind, uncertain that it was really asked….

“Jackie?” said Jason, slightly concerned.

Tears streamed down her face. Jason came into the room where she was standing. He had his cell phone in one hand, and a big gleaming diamond ring in the other. He held the ring out to put it on her finger.

Jackie dropped the phone and said “Of course I’ll marry you.”
