It is important to take old energy saving light bulbs and to seal them into two thick plastic bags and then take them to the nearest recycling station that deals with hazardous materials. This is a little bit more work than with regular light bulbs but there are so many benefits which outweigh the cons when you use energy saving light bulbs.
