If a caller is unwilling to give his or her name, for example, an aggressive representative will move on to asking them about their timeframe or expectations. Once the caller becomes more comfortable with the representative, he or she can go back to the problematic question. Aggressive representatives build rapport with callers as a means of procuring the necessary information.

Building rapport, being aggressive, direct, and efficient, is a great way to maintain control over a conversation.
