Nowadays, I’m guessing that most of us have been to Twitter and, even if we didn’t create an account, we have used the Twitter search tool to find out what people are talking about. Twitter is the easiest social media news forum to use because of its simplicity.

While other social networks have complex profiles stats, feeds, blogs, photo galleries, video logs, backgrounds and more customizations, Twitter keeps things simple by asking users one simple question, “What’s happening?”

What’s more, users are limited to 140 characters for each tweet , or status update, as it would be called in other social network forums. This makes the updates on Twitter clean and simple. You can read a lot of information in a few short words and follow links to articles or blogs you find interesting.

Once a tweet has been posted, it is immediate, meaning that the site operates in real time web. If you were to post a tweet and then search for a term contained within that tweet, it would immediately appear in the search results. You can see how powerful Twitter search is when it comes to finding relevant information.

There is nothing worse than trying to research a term from a search engine and receiving pages of outdated information. Such is not the case with a Twitter search because the most recent information will appear at the top.

Come to think of it, if you enter a search term and let the page sit for a moment, a notice at the top of the page will appear to notify you that X amount of new tweets have been posted about this topic since your search.

Something incredible is happening on Twitter. News and trends can begin in less than an hour. What use to take print publication or even television media a day, week or month to turn around to the public now take only as long as it takes you to type 140 characters. In fact, most major TV networks have one, if not several, Twitter accounts where they post immediate updates.

But wait, there’s more. Twitter search is not just good for following current news and trends. It can be used to build your business and promote your product or service. If you post relevant tweets about a trending topic or news event, then your tweets will be seen by the thousands of people following that topic.

But tweet fast because as soon as you post a tweet, there will be many more immediately following, making your tweet fall lower and lower in the Twitter search engine. So if you really want to be a source on a trending topic, then tweet often enough to remain on the first page of the search results page.

Getting on the first page of a tweet search is definitely the easiest ranking work you can ever do on the internet. There is no magic or secret formula to it. Just tweet something relevant and on point and containing the trending topic or keyword that you want your post to appear in. It’s as simple as that.

How would you like to see for yourself? There is nothing to lose and you will soon find it a fun pastime or the easiest business move you’ve ever made. So, all that’s left to ask is, “What’s happening?”
