Jake was too excited to sleep. He looked at the clock, which read 4:30 am. He had been laying there for six hours. Knowing that it was a lost cause, he got up and went to fix himself a cup of green tea. In just three short days, he was going to be on a plane to India, having basically given up his entire life for the journey and the opportunity to go and sit with his guru in extended meditation and spiritual evolution. He had been preparing for this journey for the last ten years, knowing in his heart that he would one day sit at the feet of an enlightened master, in an ashram filled with other seekers. From out of nowhere, the invitation was given to him, and the means with which to afford it showed up as though, on the wings of Providence, it was meant to be so.

Jake scrambled around his desk in search of the self storage coupon that he had picked up from a local furniture storage center that he would be using to hold all of his personal belongings while he was away. As luck would have it, the lease on his apartment expired the day after his flight; yet another seeming coincidence that had Jake spinning with the tides of fortune. Finding the slip of paper he was looking for, he tucked it gingerly into his wallet and made his way past rows of stacked up boxes to the kitchen, where his tea was steeping. Outside on the patio, he sat and watched the sun rise while relaxing into a state of meditation and ease. He understood at a very deep level that this transformation was occurring for a reason. A wave of gratitude and joy washed over him. As if his life were not already perfect enough, opportunity continued to rap sweetly upon his door, and he opened to it fully. He smiled as another inspiring day unfolded before him.
