My Computer is Slow all the Time

No matter where I am or what computer I am using, I always feel like my computer is slow. I have been through a number of computers since I started using them regularly in middle school and no matter what, I always end up getting frustrated and annoyed because I feel like my computer is slow. Part of it, I will admit is probably because I am a pretty impatient person and I do not like to wait around for anything. It is also probably my fault sometimes if my computer is slow because I try to make it do too many things at once. I will click on an icon and if that does not load immediately, I click on something else or try to reload that icon. But, I also think that a lot of the time my computer is slow is honestly not my fault.

When my family first got the internet I was probably in fifth or sixth grade. At that time, only dial-up existed as a way to get onto the internet, so it was just part of life that I would have to wait around forever just to get on the internet. Once I was connected my computer still took forever to get from page to page. Looking back on it, it is amazing that anyone had that much patience, but I guess it was all we knew. My dad was one of the last people in America I think to change from dial up to wireless, and that was because I kept telling him my computer is slow. However, even now that we have wireless and high speed internet, I still get frustrated because my computer is slow.

One of the main reasons my computer is slow all the time is because I am constantly getting viruses on it. I have a PC and I really do not want to change to a Mac. I love the way a PC works and Macs just confuse me. Unfortunately, however, the PC comes with a price and I am consistently having computer problems. The problems usually start appearing when I notice my computer is slow. It will take forever to get from one page to another, my downloads last three times as long as they should, and often times my computer will just stop working for me. All and all is gets very frustrating when my computer is slow.

If I am having a bad day and I come home and my computer is slow I sometimes have a meltdown. My day will go horribly and then I have to come home to this worthless computer, is usually about how I feel. It is especially frustrating if I have something for school to do on my computer and it is not functioning the way it should be. If this is the case, I usually end up in tears and at the computer lab at school.

After my computer is slow for a while it will sometimes crash and then I have to go through the hassle of taking it to the store where they will install a new operating system on it. This costs a lot of money and takes my computer away from me for at least a few days, but when I need my computer fixed it is my only option. Then, the cycle will repeat. I will get my computer back and then eventually, I will start noticing my computer is slow once more. Eventually, it will end up back at the store. As you can probably tell, I do not have very good luck with computers.
