It feels good to belong to a great self storage sales force.

If you have read any of my other blogs, you know that I take a great amount of pride in the abilities of our sales representatives.  I truly believe that we are the best off-site sales force you can find, with respect to sales technique, knowledge of the product, and our ability to accommodate the needs of vastly different callers.
 
Our sales representatives–my coworkers–possess the ability to maintain high morale in the face of difficult callers.  I have watched many of our representative’s move from a terrible call–an irate customer whom we cannot help from our own office–to an excellent call.  Our representatives are adept at taking an irate call in stride; adept at preventing one moody caller from affecting their next storage inquiries.  Take my word for it–this is easier said than done.
 
Our sales representatives are also adept at communicating with one another.  Our office runs very smoothly because we–the self storage sales force–feel comfortable with seeking out help when we need it.  Facility and policy updates are promptly relayed to all of our representatives, via mouth and memos.  Likewise, internal issues (changes in call center policy) are quickly relayed to our representatives.
 
Working in a professional environment; working with people who communicate with each other well–is a truly rewarding experience.  Our success as a sales force very much relies upon the health of our work environment (and our ability to communicate).  The better we work together, the better we serve our external and internal customers.
