I hate the snow

Self Storage — By on April 14, 2009 8:19 am

Yes, I live by myself and have two vehicles. I also live in Minnesota where the snow likes to fall heavy in the winter time. I commute 45 minutes both ways to my job and I have to be able to get there no matter the weather conditions. It was getting to be about impossible with my two door car to get out on the slippery road conditions. That is why I decided to purchase a four wheel drive truck that is more capable of handling those type of whether conditions. However, I do not have a garage for my car, and I do not want to leave it out in the blistery winter winds and snow.

I leave it at my local car storage facility. I know it is protected in its storage bin. That way the car is safe and there is no snow falling on it. Also I have 24 hour secure access to my car at the local car storage building so I am able to stop by and start it up and let it run for a few minutes so it will not get locked up and the fluids will not freeze.

I have to keep my car for obvious gas reasons. In the summer time Minnesota is beautiful and the car does really well on the highway and gets way better gas mileage than the truck does. The car saves me a lot of money with todays gas prices shooting through the roof. The storage facility also serves in the summer for my truck. It is a win win situation.
