Having an Effective Self Storage Salesforce

    You need to have an effective self storage salesforce to survive in this competitive industry. This is important as any prospective client will first come in contact with someone from your sales force. Whether or not you are able to convert a prospective into a loyal client depends on how your sales force staff approaches the enquirer. Your self storage salesforce must have good speaking skills to be able to convince the client that your facility is the right one for his or her needs.

    Being Aggressive Vs. Being Inconsiderate

    Assertiveness is fine to a certain extent. But there is a clear demarcation between rudeness and being aggressive.

    It is a great if your self storage salesforce is assertive, and aggressively sells your space. That is what you are doing business for, to sell space and make profit. However, to give satisfactory responses to your prospective clients, your sales force need not be overtly aggressive.

When clients call your facility or visit in person to enquire about your services, they are looking to lease a unit, but their first need will be to find a place they can trust with their possessions. 

    Your self storage salesforce should come across as reliable people. They should have the training and ability that exudes confidence and builds the same feeling about your facility in your clients. This is important to improve your bottom line.

    Answering Questions Freely

    People in the self storage salesforce should not ask questions that a prospective client may not wish to answer. Many clients are reluctant to give out their names, contact details, and similar personal information on first contact. Do not insist on answers to such questions, instead move on to other questions.
     
    Being a part of a self storage salesforce , you should tell the clients about the various services on offer. Explain the types and sizes of units you have. Tell them about the type of security arrangements you have in place in your facility. They will be interested to know all this. Ask them what features they are looking for in a self storing facility, and explain in detail about the features of your facility.

    Your self storage salesforce should clearly answer all queries regarding monthly rentals. Do not be ambiguous. Tell them what they have to pay, including other charges or fee involved. Many self storing facility providers are not open about their charges and clients find themselves saddled with add ons at the time of settlement.  If this happens, clients will never come back to you. In addition, you lose many other prospective clients through a negative word-of-mouth advertisement.

    Members of a self storage salesforce should be well versed in all aspects of your self storing facility. How your self storage salesforce approach the clients, and how they build confidence and long term relationships can make a whale of a difference to your facility reputation.
