If there is one major topic of discussion in the world today it is the discussion of fuels . With some people it is a very touchy subject to talk about. You can even remember during the last presidential debate that the candidates were asked many questions around the topic. They were frequently asked questions about what they are going to do to get the country alternative fuels for the future and become less dependent on other countries. It is very hard for people to not think about the future and what can happen if we do not plan accordingly. Right now we are trying to find ways to produce energy for our country without having to depend on alternative choices.

This is a subject that can make people feel very uncomfortable when talking about it. The conversation can be very heated because no one really knows what is going to happen and how we are going to be prepared for the future. Right now many companies are experimenting on different sources of energy to see what is going to be the next breakthrough energy source.

Nuclear Energy
Right now, nuclear energy is being used in many different areas. It provides the area with a source of electricity. Right now nuclear power provides around 12 to 15 percent of the electricity of the world. For many markets, they are very happy to have such a great and reliable source of energy in their area.

Since this type of energy is producing a lot of electricity, a couple of companies are thinking about the idea of electric powered cards. With having this type of car out there, you will see that there is less of a need for gas. If we can find alternate fuels that can get us away from asking for more from our foreign friends and depend on our own natural resources.

Wind Energy
There are many companies that are trying to start the revolution of wind energy as fuels. In other companies, they are starting to see more than a five percent production of energy from the wind. It just makes sense for us to use such an abundant source of power such as the wind. There is always wind blowing in some part of the nation. Why not harness that power in more places than just the limited ones that we have now. The reason is that people see trying to capture wind as a source for electricity as a waste of resources. They believe that they can put the money toward other fuels in development. Also with wind power, the energy produced has to be used right then and there. Right now there is not a way to store the energy and then use it when you desire. It is one of the few sources of energy that we have that can not match the demand.

Coal Energy
Coal is very hard to come by and takes a team of miners to do deep into the earth in order to find this precious natural resource. It does take years in order for coal to be formed. After it is found and collected, you can see that that coal is very valuable to many different countries. In our country coal accounts for around fourteen percent of the electricity we use. In some countries, coal accounts for over sixty percent of the electricity they use. They have gotten the production of coal to energy to as efficient as can be.

As you can see there are different alternative fuels out there and there are more that are not listed here. This country will need to find some different ways to produce electricity for the future. It would seem that our future depends on it.
