For most people in the world, owning a luxury yacht is a far away dream that will never be a reality. Money is tight all over the place and spending millions on a water home is not in the cards for most people. However, there are a few select individuals who do make enough to own their own luxury yacht. Most yacht owners spend far more on their yacht than on their home on land. This is because yachts are so much more expensive because they are also a boat and have to work like a boat and be built to sustain any sort of weather condition.

For a yacht to be considered a luxury yacht, it has to meet certain expectations. Yachts are all large and nice boats, but the luxury yacht goes above and beyond the typical yacht which you might be picturing in your head. The smallest a yacht can be in order to be given luxury or super status is 150 to 160 feet long. This small of a yacht will hold about 10 to 12 guests and will usually have the same amount of quarters for that many crew. This small of a yacht will usually be about three tiers high and will hold all of the same amenities a larger luxury yacht will, just on a smaller status. There are tons of luxuries and features to these types of yacht that anyone could appreciate.

First off, all luxury yachts will have a complete staff and crew who will cater to your every need. Whether you are on a charter yacht as a guest or you own the luxury yacht yourself, all yachts typically have complete service. There are cooks and waitresses for your meals, maids to clean your rooms, bartenders, handymen, a crew to control the yacht, and any other sort of staff that can cater to the needs of the yacht and to you. A yacht would not be able to function with a full staff so even if you can afford buying a multimillion dollar luxury yacht, make sure to factor in the fact that you will need to pay a full staff as well. There is no way that you and your family could take care of a yacht and still enjoy spending time on it.

All luxury yachts also have at least one or two swimming pools on their decks. Usually there is an upper and a lower deck and there is usually a swimming pool in each deck.  A luxury yacht will also have a complete bar either outside by the pool or right inside next to the pool. There will also usually be a Jacuzzi or hot tub alongside at least one of the swimming pools.

Along with a pool or two, a luxury yacht will also usually have a full gym, a dining room, a theatre, a spa, and many other features. If you are going to be spending time on a luxury yacht then you should have everything you would need in order to have a relaxing vacation. Not only will you have service for everything you do, you will also have plenty of entertainment and relaxation options. So, whether you own a luxury yacht or are just spending a week or two on one, you should have a very relaxing and enjoyable experience when you spend time on one.
