SANYO – My awful experience with SANYO

Wow; this one is really unpleasant but I feel obliged to right about the incident. Others shouldn’t have to go through the same experience.

I bought a 50” Sanyo Plasma HDTV from Wally World. I get it home and hooked up to my 2 desktops. After the TV kept rebooting and restarting it selves I called Sanyo Customer Support. I was told I will get a call back in 48 to 72 hours from a “senior” technician. To make the story short; I called twice more but never get a call back. Even more odd is that they were not giving me a case number.

So after waiting 3 months I contacted and they told me that they will rectify the situation by sending a repair shop to my house and fix it. The repair shop people called but wanted me to wait another week.

After not wanting to wait anymore; I contacted the Sanyo people. The last guy told me I am out of luck.

I guess I will have to live with it …. I should have not waited until the return time had passed. But here is what I am wondering about: did they do that on purpose? I mean why would they drag it out on purpose.

Frankly; I am very disappointed that I have to live with a broken item. It is my fault; I should have returned the SANYO Plasma TV right away after they didn’t call me back to help fix it. But shouldn’t they have had a better customer service? Is it reasonable to have to wait for a call back until the return policy / time period is over?

The bottom line is that in spite of the fact that it is my fault not returning the SANYO Plasma TV; the SANYO people should have called me back and assist in fixing the brand new item. I know one thing for sure though: they lost me as a customer. I will never buy SANYO electronic products … EVER. Nor will I ever recommend buying a SANYO product to any of my loved ones.

America and the Economic Crisis

America, which has always been looked at as a leading country for opportunity, success, and growth, is facing a huge economic crisis. Multiple factors have led and contributed to this poor economy which will hopefully begin to improve over the next few months.

The economic crisis America is facing is the result of a number of things. It is not completely clear what began this downfall, but many point to the increase in housing prices which began in the late 1990’s and continued through 2005. With housing costs rising, many Americans could no longer afford houses they would have been able to with their available incomes. Unfortunately these rising housing costs were taking place when September 11th occurred and all the effects of that terrible day were put into place. Because of September 11th, interest rates were lowered making it very easy to borrow money for things like homes. So, basically, people who were not able to afford homes were able to buy them anyway, but then, eventually, ended up unable to pay them back. Also, many people were finding easy ways to make money in the housing market and when it collapsed, this began the spiral which would lead to an economic crisis. Banks soon realized they had invested a lot of their money in loans which were bad and the economic crisis took off as investors pulled their money out of the banks. This led to banks being unable to give out any loans, since they hardly had any money on hand because of all the bad loans they had invested in. So, people who needed loans could not get them, which made it impossible for them to make big purchases. These different problems, along with a number of other factors, led to America’s economic crisis.

The economic crisis has had a huge affect on America and all of its citizens. People are being laid off right and left and families are struggling more than ever financially. Benefits are decreasing and those who would have been able to retire have to continue working. However, these people are the lucky ones during the economic crisis for so many people are unemployed. Now is a terrible time to be graduating from college or entering the workforce because even the most basic of jobs are hard to come by. Finding a part time job, even as a high school student, is difficult because of the economic crisis.

President Obama has plans to fix the economic crisis and put America back on its feet. Of course, this economic crisis is not easily reversible and it is going to take a lot of time and energy in order to be put right. However, President Obama has quite a few plans he has put into action in order to save America from its economic crisis. First of all, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment act which will create 3.5 million more jobs and give 95% of Americans a tax cut. Many people do not approve of this act, mostly those who are well off and will be paying much higher taxes, but for most Americans it is a positive act which will put America in the right direction to getting out of the financial crisis. Secondly, President Obama has put into effect a new housing program to help stabilize the housing market, which was a main cause to the economic crisis. Finally, President Obama has made investments in healthcare, energy, and education, to help improve America as a whole and put the economic crisis in the past.

Remembering Your First Day Of School Jitters

Pam and Bryan had been saving all their extra income because the first day of school was on its way again. Their two daughters, Crystal and Erin, were going to start high school this year and the girls were both excited and nervous about beginning the year.

Today was the day that the girls were getting their braces off just a few weeks before school started. Pam had not shared a surprise with the girls yet. She and Bryan had put away some money to give each of the girls to take them shopping for new back to school clothes.

Pam had almost forgotten the feeling of her first day of high school, when the butterflies spun in her tummy as she was re-acquainting herself with all her classmates. There was something about the first day of high school that marked a right of passage into her teenage years.

She wanted her girls to feel confident and prepared, and when you are fourteen what you are wearing can make a big difference in how you feel about yourself.

As Pam and her daughters left the orthodontist office they were laughing and smiling and the girls could not stop looking in the mirror at their new smiles. They drove out of the parking lot and took a left onto the highway. This was not the usual road home and the girls where curious about where they were going. When they pulled into the row of shopping centers they could not have been more excited.

If there is one thing teenage girls love, it is hanging out and walking around shopping centers and the mall.

As they parked the car, Pam turned around to tell the girls how beautiful their new smiles were and how proud she was of what lovely young ladies they were becoming. She told them each that they had a little money to spend on whatever they liked for their first day of school.

As you can imagine, the girls squealed with joy and went running into the shopping centers as their mom walked behind them reminding them to slow down.

They spent the next three hours roaming around every store in the shopping centers looking for the perfect shirt, jeans, shoes, backpacks, earrings, scarves – you name it, and they looked at it.

Crystal found a pair of jeans on sale and was able to buy a new pair of sneakers. She had just enough money leftover to buy a cute shirt that made her blue eyes stand out. Erin picked out a sporty skirt and a pair of sandals, with a casual shirt that made the look not too dressy for a school day. All the while, the girls caught their reflection in the windows of the shopping centers and were delighted at their bright new smiles.

The three ladies had an unforgettable time shopping and chatting. The day was not over because Pam took them out for dinner to eat all their favorite foods that they had not been allowed to eat while wearing the braces.

At the end of the day, as Pam looked back on her own memories from her teenage years and looked forward to the memories her daughters would create, she did not forgotten all the trouble and worry she caused her mother. She could only hope Crystal and Erin would not get into sticky situations, but she was ready to support them and help them through the emotional ups and downs the next four or five years would bring.

Trials and Tribulations of Economics Class

Freshman year of college was a year full of general education requirements I had to fulfill before I moved into specific classes for my major. One of these classes I was required to take was economics. Everyone who had already taken economics warned me that it was a pretty difficult class, especially considering it was a basic, 1000 level class. So, I decided to go ahead and get it over with first semester because I knew if I did not I would be nervous taking the class and worrying about it all first semester was not going to do me any good. I am not so good at math and it was scary coming into college and hearing a class I needed to take was going to be difficult.

So, I went ahead and enrolled in the economics class almost all students were required to take. The first day of class I went into it fully prepared and ready to listen, take notes, and fulfill all the homework requirements. The first couple of weeks did not go as badly as I thought they were going to and I managed to do pretty well on the first few quizzes our economics teacher gave to us without warning.

Unfortunately for myself, I came down with a terrible virus a month into the school year. I had a fever that would often go up to 104 degrees, was vomiting regularly, and was so weak I could not get out of bed. For a week I laid in bed, feeling miserable, and skipping all of my classes including economics. Skipping economics was nerve wracking and frustrating for me because we had our first test scheduled for the following week, and I was determined to do well on it.

After a week of lying around, not keeping any food down, and running a horrible fever I had lost over ten pounds. I was still skipping classes because of my situation; skipping economics was making me increasing more and more nervous. One night, I was feeling so bad my roommate decided I needed to go to the hospital. They checked me in, decided I was incredibly dehydrated, and put me on an IV. After sitting in the hospital all night being pumped with saline, they released me the next day.

Things did not get any better for me following the hospital stay. I continued vomiting and running a fever and my stress level was increasing daily because of the approaching economics test. I half heartedly attempted studying for it but I was feeling so terrible absorbing any information was difficult.

The economics test was scheduled for 8 PM on a Monday night. That morning, I was feeling worse than ever. I called my best friend and told her I needed to go back to the hospital. She picked me up and we checked back in where I was, once again put on an IV.

I brought all my economics study materials to the hospital, and as I lay in bed I tried to cram before the test that night. As the test approached, I eventually gave up on the studying. I figured I would either swim or sink depending on how difficult the test was.

An hour before the economics test, I had still not been released from the hospital. They told me that my fever had to go down before I was technically allowed to go. Well, my fever was not going down and I had a test to go to, so I told them I was leaving whether they liked it or not. I was determined to take that economics test!

Well, I took the economics test and needless to say, I bombed it. I remember I got a 55% on it. The worst grade I had ever, in my entire life, received. Fortunately, my economics teacher had a policy where she dropped our lowest test grade of the semester. Thank goodness for that! After I finally got better, I had to learn the hard way the best way to study for tests in college. Luckily, I did learn and I ended up passing economics with a B. Not the grade I wanted, but I was not too hard on myself considering the rough situation I had to go through that semester!

My Online Life

When I was a little kid I barely even knew what a computer was. Most of the time, my friends and I were playing outside in the pool, on the playground, or just running around. I used my imagination making up plays that my friends and I would put on for the neighborhood parents, and thinking up scenarios of predicaments my friends and I had to face. Life back then was extremely different from how it is today. Today, my online life is just as active and busy as my regular life. Even though I used to never have to be on the computer, now that I am an adult, work, school, and my social life all make up my online life.

My online life really began around seventh grade when AOL instant messenger came out. Every night I would get online and talk to lots of my friends. Whenever I had a crush on someone I would sit and wait for the little door noise that would announce them being online. If they did get online and start talking to me my heart would race and I would get super excited. Almost all of my classmates had AIM, and I stopped talking to my friends on the phone so much and, instead, talked to everybody on AIM. I looked forward to getting online every night and would often be up way later chatting on AIM than I probably should have been.

AIM continued throughout high school, but my online life got even larger as I started having to do research papers. I became familiar with researching topics online and figuring out a good way to find the best sources for my papers. My online life expanded even more as I also began using the internet to find out about news stories, movie times, and pretty much anything I wanted to know.

Even though my online life was pretty busy by this point, the biggest factor in my online life had not yet occurred. When I received my e-mail address for college though, I found out all about Facebook. Facebook, as you probably know, is probably the biggest social network online and has not only affected my online life drastically, but everyone else’s. Facebook became not just a part of my online life, but a huge part of my life in general. I became consumed by it; it had everything. You could check out all the latest updates and photos on your friends, chat, and basically find out anything you wanted to know about anyone who was your Facebook friend.

Once I graduated from college, my online life expanded even more when my job became pretty much internet based. So now, I sit in front of the computer all day not just for my online social life but also for my job. It is rare if I am in front of the computer less than eight hours a day. Considering I am only awake about 16 hours a day, I am spending at least half of my day absorbed in my online life as I am in my life which is not online. With the internet and technology today, I believe that this is going to become the norm for more and more people. I am glad that I have all the opportunities and social experiences in my online life, but I also appreciate personable relationships and situations as well.

My father in law is getting married in a couple of days and he is starting a new chapter in his life. He has lived in the same place for over ten years and now he is about to move into the city. Understanding economics is not difficult, though most people don’t fully understand what this subject is all about. There are various ways that economists can measure the current state of the economy, and these measures and analyses are the true meat of the subject itself…even though they are not always easy to grasp right away.

Once the basic concepts of economics are understood, it is then necessary to study these factors to a further degree. Economic analyzes are used to further determine the current state of an economy. These analyzes not only include the goods and services mentioned above, but they also include crime, education, law, politics, health – nearly anything else that helps society to function as a whole. Why is this type of study important at all? Without economists, it would be very difficult to predict the present – and future – state of our economy.

Economists know when the economy is about to take a turn for the worst. These specialists also know when the economy is going to start booming, and they also know when our society will remain as it currently is. Thanks to the study of economics, it is possible to understand how our society functions…and how it will function in the future. From the study of “household law” to the study of goods and services, economists are an indispensable part of our world. To study the economy is to study the very flux and flow of the world itself, and that’s something that everyone can benefit from.

Grading a Self Storage Salesforce

In my last post, I began to discuss the importance of accountability to a good self storage salesforce . Today, writing a new post, I have a story to share with you. This story is about the tangible success of the system I proposed in my last post.

Recently, our office has taken to publicly display the sales statistics of our representatives. These statistics are named, so it is very easy for our reps to compare themselves to their coworkers. Believe it or not, this has not led to any problematic competition. Everyone understands that we are in this together, and that our only way to improve is to work as a team.

Many of our representatives have drastically improved their statistics in light of this new system, and to the mutual benefit of our entire workforce. Indeed, by doubling or tripling their leads generation, our representatives are making sure that our clients, the storage facilities themselves, remain happy. A reservation or a lead is money in their pockets, and a promise to continue business with us.

I would be interested to hear how other call centers hold their representatives accountable for their performance. I suppose that you could say that this subject has a firm grip on my mind. At any rate, I am always open for advice from other self storage professionals. If I want to be a part of the best self storage salesforce , I will have to spend some hours getting to know how other call centers and sales teams work.

Many people decide the purchase RVs in order to use them to travel across the country or make it their home. People live from day to day inside their RV when they either do not have a home or as they go to their favorite vocational spot. I always wondered though. What do to store their RV when there is not a local RV storage facility in the area? RVs are not the smallest vehicles to just sit on the street for storage.

Unfortunately not every city or town has a place in which a person could seek local RV storage. They buy this big, sometimes monstrous, machine for recreation and to make a home anywhere they went. Sometimes thought they do not have a place to store their vehicle when they do not using it. The people in these kinds of areas that do not have local RV storage sometimes use their backyards, a house or driveway of a friend, or sometimes you will see their local church having some space in their parking lot.

I have no idea how much it even costs to have an RV in my possession. I always thought it would be nice to have one. I hate being on a long car drive and you can not have things at your ease of access like food, a drink or even a restroom. Riding every where I go whether it was a short trip or a long trip being a in a cramped car, I would gladly trade having an RV on the long trips. I just would not want to pay for the gas or not being able to find a local RV storage place to have it rest until it is time to awaken the monstrous machine.
