Non paid, non commercial product review of Directory Maximizer

We used the manual submission service from Directory Maximizer several times. Their manual submission service is accurate and timely. Their submission services are very useful and bring visible results. The back end is also designed very friendly and intuitive. Directory Maximizer also reward it users by letting them earn points which can be used for additional free submissions.

The only issue is the cost – per manual submission cost is about 0.14 cents which can quickly add up to hundreds of dollars if multiple site submissions are undertaken. Other than that, Directory Maximizer is a very viable, useful, and solid business with appealing services.

We give them 4.5 out 5

Internet Marketing Wish list Part 2

Here we are with another product – Article Submitter by Internet Marketing Wish List at http://articlesubmitter.imwishlist.com/ .

Yesterday, we reported on their Directory Submitter. The article submitter at http://articlesubmitter.imwishlist.com/ is virtually identical in terms of evaluation. Both of its versions free and paid do what it says it will do. It is a smooth software and certainly worth the price. However, it has the same problem as the directory submitter: it is virtually pointless to use the software because of the time factor. If you do the math, it is substantially more viable to pay a third party to do it.

Hence we give it a 4 out of 5

    Internet Marketing Wish list

Here we are with another product – Directory Submitter by Internet Marketing Wish List at http://directorysubmitter.imwishlist.com/ .

We recently purchased this product because of obvious reasons; who can ignore internet directories as a part of Search Engine Optimization strategy. They offer two different versions Free and Paid.

Though both products are functional and do as they promise, we have our doubts. Don’t get us wrong, the techniques, software and price are reasonable and well.  However, it does not make good sense to sit down for hours at the time to submit your site semi manually to some 2000 directories.

It is substantially more economical to pay $80 to $100 for a third party to do the submissions for you.

Hence we give them a 4 out of 5.

    LinkBuildingDirect

We are ready to report back on yet another service we have tried. It is redundant explain the benefits of one way back link; because by now everyone knows what, where and how. Yet the selection or decision as to “do it yourself” or “hire a third party” is still fuzzy.

We tried both. This particular post is about Link Building Direct at http://www.linkbuildingdirect.com/ . Let us get started by saying that the customer service at this company exceeds expectations. They have a very friendly staff and are very quick to response to correspondence and information requests.

Their link building product/s are not bad either. They do deliver on their promise of one way link back and from what we can tell based on our analytic tools and server logs, Google, Yahoo and MSN seem to be receptive to their link back.

The only issue may be the cost: unlike submissions to directories that at most will involve a one time cost, this particular service requires an ongoing and continuous cost to have the link on their network. Otherwise, the links will be removed and the benefits are minimized.

Overall, we think it is a great service if money is taken out of the equation. Besides, the $30 each month should be doable for all serious internet marketers.

We give them a 4.5 out of 5

    LazyURL

As usual we are ready to report on another product / service that we have tried – LazyURL at http://www.lazyurl.com/ . Though not unique, their services are terrible. After an extensive order, we did not hear back from them at all. The payment was made but the services were not rendered. Our attempts to touch base with them via phone and email went also unanswered.

Though extremely odd and unpleasant; we are reluctant to call this service a fraud. We would like to think that this entire episode was somehow a gigantic mistake. However, as up right now we can not provide a good feedback because of obvious reasons.

We give them 0 out of 5.

    Pay Pal Merchant Account

    This entry is rather unusual.

As it is usual with financial institutions, we all know that they have their own interest in mind. However, PayPal (a registered trade mark of its respective owners) is in our opinion rather uniquely self serving.

In the past 2 years we have observed and noted a lot of self serving actions that really are not consumer friendly;  in particular their dispute resolution for non tangible goods such as e-goods.  To sum it up: there is no protection. This certainly raises the question: if Paypal is the premier online transaction processor, why is there no protection for the premier online goods i.e. e-goods?

Certainly there is enough blame to go around, yet we would like to suggest that is primarily the consumers fault because they put up with it. If there would be enough complains they may rethink their less than ethical policies.

As up right now, the use of Paypal is certainly not a choice rather than a lack of choice. We would like to encourage everyone that has similar experiences to email PayPal to express their disappointment.

Hence we give them a 0 out of 5.

    Follow up on PayPal Review.

This is something different than our usual reviews. After our latest product review, we thought we have to do a bit more. Sometimes reviewing or complaining is not enough – Especially when we thought that consumer have to more. So we started talking and looking and found some other people and sites that have indebt information about discrepancies.

By no means the below lists is exhaustive:

    No PayPal at http://www.paypalsucks.com/
    AboutPayPal at http://www.aboutpaypal.org/
    Consumer Affairs at http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/paypal_02.html
    PayPalWarning at http://www.paypalwarning.com/
    …. And many more sites.

It is astonishing that an online business can have so many complaints and still conduct business. Though we are not affiliated we any of the sites above nor do we endure any of their contents, we are happy to see that others have similar complaints.

Hopefully more people voice their complaints in order to initiate changes.

    Preliminary Report on AdlandPro

Unlike our usual mode of reporting about a particular product or services after we are certain that we have given it a fair chance, we wanted to report on AdlandPro rather more quickly.

The reason for this decision is simple: for good or bad, since we started participating in their program, we have seen an unbelievable amount of activity. Unlike most other similar sites that drag until something happens at all, at AdlandPro we started getting initial response from the community members within minutes. The actions included invitation to be friends by community members, information, lessons, and guidance as well as in dept coverage of all kinds of related topics.

To our surprise, however, their admin has not managed to verify our membership via visiting our site for the link. Otherwise, the response has been rather unique and refreshing.

As up right now we see a great potential based on their Alexa.com ranking, their massive online traffic, quick community response as well as the great deal of tools to enhance the experience.

We give them 4.5 out of 5 but we will keep you up to date on our experience and development.

Non Paid. Non Commerical Review of: Enterhost

As usual we are ready to report back on another product. Enterhost at  http://www.enterhost.com/ has been tested by some of our associate for more than 3 years. Enterhost provides a wide range of specialized hosting solutions mostly for the advanced users and companies. They provide very reliable hardware, software, email and statistic solutions.

The only draw back is the fact that although they offer a support phone number, non of our associates were ever able to get phone support.

We give them a 4.5 out of 5.
