Affordable Legal RepresentationBy admin on January 16, 2010 | 2 Comments
We all know the feeling: you are out driving, when suddenly, you see flashing lights behind you, and hear the all too familiar sound of a police siren. Your thoughts begin to race, “Was I speeding?” “Did I not notice a stop sign?”. There is, however, an even more important question which most of us fail to consider until it is to late, “If I am ticketed, or arrested, who s going to represent me?” In today’s economy, times are tough. Many Americans are struggling to make ends meet, and their finances are spread thin enough without having to add costly and time consuming legal troubles to the equation.
Where can one find a cheap attorney or is there even such a thing as a cheap lawyer? Unfortunately for those who find themselves in need of legal counsel, there are many qualified, seasoned attorneys offering affordable rates – many of them specializing in specific fields of expertise. One need only look as far as their phone book to find there is no shortage of professionals willing to represent them in a court of law. DUI; Traffic; Drugs; Divorce. No matter what the particulars of your legal problems may be, there are a plethora of resources available to you in your search for a cheap attorney.
For those with money woes, there are many legal professionals willing to help through inexpensive options such as reduced rates; deferment of payment; or, in some instances, pro bono representation. Whether you think you have the funds necessary to afford legal representation, the sobering truth is that there is nothing more costly than trying to navigate the intricate labyrinth that is today’s legal system without a qualified legal professional to be an advocate for your best interests. Facing legal action without an attorney is a disaster, at best. If you need a cheap attorney, there are options available to you.
In addition to the many lawyers advertising in your yellow pages, many qualified professionals can be found, like every thing else these days, online. You can browse through hundreds of firms in your area, or abroad. You can search for professionals that specialize in whatever legal situation you may be facing. You can search out your cheap attorney from the comfort of your home, and compare the rates of hundreds of individual attorneys to find the one which suits your particular needs. Many are more than willing to schedule a consultation, at no cost to you, to discuss the specifics of your case, and what they feel they may be able to offer you in the way of ending your struggles with the law.
So, what should one do when facing unexpected legal troubles? Throw their hands up in defeat? Hire an overpriced attorney who, in many cases, can do nothing more in the way of offering solutions to their client than a more moderately priced lawyer can? There is no way around it, when you are in trouble with the law, you need a qualified professional to represent you and your interests, or you will suffer the consequences. So search out a professional in your area who can help you. It is certainly a wise investment for your future. A cheap attorney can be found, and a swift resolution to your problem can be found.

Criminal Attorneys Speak Up for the AccusedBy admin on December 24, 2009 | No Comments
Imagine that you are charged with a crime that you did not commit. Every day, this happens to people all over the world. Whether you are being framed, were in the wrong place at the wrong time, or you are simply similar looking to the person who did commit the crime, being charged with a crime you did not commit is probably one of the worst things that can happen to someone. Criminal attorneys will be your hero if this is the case for you. Criminal attorneys do their best to defend you and fight for your rights in a trial if you are accused of a crime you did not commit.
The punishment for those who are accused of a crime can be pretty rough depending on the crime you are accused of. Not only that, but your reputation is forever tarnished. Think about if you are accused of manslaughter or rape. First of all, the rest of your life is going to be spent in jail, but you are also going to be looked at differently by everyone in your life and the whole world. Criminal attorneys are the main chance you have at being rescued from this terrible fate if you are accused of a crime. Even if no one else believes you, they will give you the chance to tell your full story about what happened, and they will then present your case to the court. Criminal attorneys have to give you the benefit of the doubt and will defend you as well as they can because it is their job to do so.
When you are in court accused of a crime, criminal attorneys are going to be your best friend. They will work through you in the situation and try to make a difference in your life by getting you off the hook. However, no matter how well they may or may not do, it is ultimately up to the judge and jury what your fate will be. Criminal attorneys just have to present your case as convincingly as possible. If you really are innocent, then this should not be very difficult.
It is important to remember that criminal attorneys fight for anyone convinced of a crime whether they are guilty or innocent. It is not up to them to decide whether you really are telling the truth, it is their job to get you off of the hook. So, when someone is accused of a crime that they really did commit, criminal attorneys are going to fight just as hard for them as they would someone who is accused of a crime they actually did commit. The main reason a lot of criminals are still on the street today is because of criminal attorneys. However, the main reason a lot of innocent people are not in jail is also because of criminal attorneys.
It is interesting to think about which is worse. Is it worse for someone innocent to be put in jail or for a criminal to walk the streets? If a criminal is walking the streets they can commit more crimes and ruin more lives, but if an innocent person is put in jail their life and reputation are ruined forever. Regardless of which is worse, criminal attorneys speak up for the individuals accused of crimes and try to give them a voice and a stand in a court of law.

The Role of a Divorce Attorney
When people get married, they usually envision a life of happiness and bliss ahead of them and never contemplate divorce or getting a divorce attorney. Usually, marriage is a decision that two people make when they want to dedicate their lives to each other. Unfortunately, many people make this decision in haste and end up in very terrible situations where neither one of them are happy. In fact, over 50% of marriages in America end in divorce. In America today divorce has become such a commonly accepted thing that many people are even married and divorced multiple times throughout their life. Often, when people do get divorced, they hire a divorce attorney especially if the divorce is a messy one. A divorce attorney will help represent that party in a divorce and will help them to get as much as they can out of the marriage.
There are a number of reasons why people divorce and need a divorce attorney. One of the main reasons people divorce is because they simply do not get along. If you went to work every day and worked hard and then came home every night hoping to relax and instead ended up fighting with your spouse, then divorce might result. If a married couple cannot get along about a multitude of things then they will most likely have a lot of arguments about the divorce. In these cases, have a divorce attorney can really help because the attorneys will mediate between the unhappy couple and help work things out through the divorce.
One of the most painful reasons people divorce and get a divorce attorney is because one spouse is cheating on the other. If you were to find out that the person you had committed your life to and were in love with cheated on you, imagine the pain and hurt that would cause. Walking in on your spouse with someone else would feel like a stab through the heart. Nobody deserves to go through something like that and nobody should marry someone who they are not going to be faithful to. If there are problems in the bedroom, a couple can seek the help of a sex therapist. Nobody should resort to cheating. If a spouse is caught cheating divorce will likely result and a divorce attorney will often be called to represent both parties. The person who was cheated on will often have the upper hand in this situation because they are the ones who are not in the wrong.
With a divorce attorney, the couple can go to court and each of them will be represented by their divorce attorney. There are two main things which divorcing couples need a divorce attorney for. These two things are money and children. Obviously, when two people divorce, there are going to be arguments about who gets what and how much they each get. A lot of what you end up with after the divorce is going to be influence by your divorce attorney and how well of a job they did representing you. If you have children with your spouse then this is going to be the even bigger issue over property and money. Children are, obviously, much more important than material things, and divorcing couples will often have a lot of conflict about how much time they get with their children. If you want to have main custody of your children then you are going to need a divorce attorney who is going to able to argue your case effectively and make you out to be the better and more caring parent.

Divorce Lawyer Hero
When my husband and I got married, I never expected to be looking for a divorce lawyer a few years later. He proposed right before we graduated college and immediately said yes. We had been on and off throughout college and the idea of a wedding and marriage were like a fantasy and a dream come true for me. I had been looking forward to my wedding since I was a little girl, and although I did not see it then, I will admit now that I definitely rushed into it.
The first few months of marriage were pretty happy and even though we had out occasional spiffs, the idea of a divorce and a divorce lawyer in our future never crossed my mind. But as the months and then years passed on, I could tell that he was growing more and more distant from me and I contemplated getting in touch with a divorce lawyer. My husband stopped trying to have conversations with me and closed off from any sort of physical relationship. It took me a few years of misery, but eventually I knew I had to call a divorce lawyer.
When I first called the divorce lawyer , I was still not completely convinced I wanted a divorce. My husband would not talk to me about our relationship, and I had no idea what he wanted. It would have astounded me, however, if I found out he actually did still want to be with me. The divorce lawyer listened to my story and told me that the number one thing I needed to do was discuss the situation with my husband.
When I first told my husband that I went to a divorce lawyer he was furious that I went behind his back to talk to a divorce lawyer. I pointed out that he hardly ever talked to me about anything anymore and I did not know where else to turn. It was obvious that neither one of us was happy. When I brought this relevant fact up, he told me he agreed with me. He did not want to be with me anymore, he just did not want to admit it. He was stupid and young when he proposed and he felt like he had to live with that decision we made even though we both became very different people after we were married.
The divorce lawyer helped me out a lot during the divorce. I did not know how to go about splitting up property or any of the paperwork that needed to be done. Because of the divorce lawyer, the divorce was a lot easier than it would have been. Following my divorce, which ended without a lot of mess since we both knew it was the right decision and we had no children, the divorce lawyer continued to keep in touch with me. Eventually, I realized that my divorce lawyer had a crush on me and wanted to date me! How ironic is that? It took a little while, but after a few months I agreed to go on an official date with my divorce lawyer. On our date, he won me over and did not seem like a man who was all about divorce. Even though I learned from my mistakes with my first husband, I am not going to close myself off to the divorce lawyer who swept me off my feet.

Working Towards Becoming an AttorneyBy admin on October 11, 2009 | No Comments
An attorney, also known as a lawyer, acts as a legal advisor, counselor, supporter, and represents a party who is involved in either a criminal or civil trial. Attorneys make a world of difference in the lives of people worldwide and help fight for what is fair and right for their clients.
Everyone deserves a fair trial and to tell their side of the story along with presenting evidence and facts to help support their case. An attorney takes on this role for their client because they know the rules, expectations, and standards with how to proceed in a court of law. An attorney has a job to not get flustered or upset while presenting evidence and support for their client and will do everything in their power to win a case.
If you are ever involved in a trial, you need to make sure you have an attorney to represent you. You will have a much more likely chance to win your case if you have an attorney present who can help you sort through your evidence and present your case in the most appealing way.
If you have plans to become an attorney, you need to make sure you are extremely dedicated to this dream. This job involves the outcomes of people’s lives and there is a lot you will need to know and understand in order to be a successful and knowledgeable attorney.
Before going to law school you must first go to undergraduate school and receive your bachelors. This normally will take about four years. You can get your undergrad in basically anything you would like, but there are obviously some majors that would be a better choice than others if law school is in your future. There is not a set undergraduate program you need to enroll in if you do have plans to go to law school in order to become an attorney.
However, enrolling in a rigorous program and doing well in it will increase your chances of getting into law school. Keep in mind throughout your undergraduate studies that all law schools look into how well you did in your undergraduate, so maintaining a high grade point average is extremely important. Also, becoming involved in extracurricular activities and spending time volunteering will definitely help you in your plans to go to law school and become an attorney.
Getting into law school to become an attorney or lawyer is not easy. Before you apply for law school with the dream of becoming an attorney, you will also need to take the LSAT and do well on it. When you do apply for law school they will look mostly at your LSAT score and your GPA. Both of these are extremely important to focus on before applying to law school and both of them need to be high in order to be accepted.
However, just these scores will not be your ticket in. The school will also look into what type of person you are and how involved you are with your community and how much time you have volunteered because all of these things will affect how good of an attorney you will be.
So, going to law school to become an attorney is no easy process. It is a dream that you must put into action at a young age and work towards for a very long time. Also, keep in mind that law school is going to be extremely rigorous and a lot of hard work. If you are not willing to commit to it, then choosing a different profession besides an attorney might be necessary.

Hero of a Lawyer
“This is a personal story – Not advise . It is anecdotal in nature . For legal advise contact legal professionals . ”
Never in my life did I think I would need a lawyer. I had always been a golden child, following all of the rules. I never got detention or suspension in school, I stayed out of drugs and alcohol throughout high school, I respected my elders, I usually did not cuss, and breaking a law was something I never thought to do. Therefore, why would I need a lawyer?
I suppose I did break a few rules here and there, but nothing ever big enough for a lawyer to become involved. The biggest trouble I got into in high school was a speeding ticket I got my senior year. I remember I was late for a babysitting job, so I was speeding because I wanted to be on time. The minute the cop put on his lights and started following me, my heart sank into my stomach and I started to cry. Obviously, I was not used to getting into trouble. This incident, however, was not what caused me to need a lawyer . I was not speeding that bad.
I went into college and, at first, I behaved myself. Second semester though I found out just how much fun partying could be. This is what eventually caused me to need a lawyer. The first half of the semester I kept my partying to frat houses and house parties because that was what everyone was doing. I was only 19, so I knew I had to be careful since I was underage to be drinking. Well, one night there were no parties going on, but my dorm friends and I still wanted to have a good time. I got out my big bottle of vodka and Scattergories, and we got into an intense game of drunken Scattegories. I was having so much fun and I was not at all worried about getting into trouble or having to worry about getting a lawyer.
Everyone was winding down and the alcohol was put away when I heard a knock on my door. I asked who it was and the guy said it was the police. I was kind of an idiot because I thought it was the boys down the hall, so I told them to come right in. Well, I was definitely wrong. It was the cops and it resulted in me getting an MIP since we were drinking in my room and the alcohol was mine.
As soon as the ticket was issued, I started thinking that I needed to get a lawyer. I knew that a lawyer could probably help me with this situation. I was so miserable and sobbing hysterically. I wanted to be a teacher and I knew that schools were not very tolerant of MIPs. I was hoping and counting on a lawyer to help me out. I asked some of my friends who had been in trouble before and was recommended the name of a lawyer. I went to see him the very next week and asked him what he could do to help me.
On my court date, my lawyer came and pleaded my case and I was granted a MIS which stands for minor in suspension. Basically, I was on probation until I was twenty one. If I got caught with alcohol again I would be in big trouble, but if I did not my MIP would be wiped clean from my record. Thankfully, I did not get in trouble with alcohol again and now I do not have anything on my record thanks to my lawyer.
