  • Sensational Twitter Search Results and Trending Topics
    By admin on January 12, 2010 | 1 Comment1 Comment Comments

Nowadays, I’m guessing that most of us have been to Twitter and, even if we didn’t create an account, we have used the Twitter search tool to find out what people are talking about. Twitter is the easiest social media news forum to use because of its simplicity.

While other social networks have complex profiles stats, feeds, blogs, photo galleries, video logs, backgrounds and more customizations, Twitter keeps things simple by asking users one simple question, “What’s happening?”

What’s more, users are limited to 140 characters for each tweet , or status update, as it would be called in other social network forums. This makes the updates on Twitter clean and simple. You can read a lot of information in a few short words and follow links to articles or blogs you find interesting.

Once a tweet has been posted, it is immediate, meaning that the site operates in real time web. If you were to post a tweet and then search for a term contained within that tweet, it would immediately appear in the search results. You can see how powerful Twitter search is when it comes to finding relevant information.

There is nothing worse than trying to research a term from a search engine and receiving pages of outdated information. Such is not the case with a Twitter search because the most recent information will appear at the top.

Come to think of it, if you enter a search term and let the page sit for a moment, a notice at the top of the page will appear to notify you that X amount of new tweets have been posted about this topic since your search.

Something incredible is happening on Twitter. News and trends can begin in less than an hour. What use to take print publication or even television media a day, week or month to turn around to the public now take only as long as it takes you to type 140 characters. In fact, most major TV networks have one, if not several, Twitter accounts where they post immediate updates.

But wait, there’s more. Twitter search is not just good for following current news and trends. It can be used to build your business and promote your product or service. If you post relevant tweets about a trending topic or news event, then your tweets will be seen by the thousands of people following that topic.

But tweet fast because as soon as you post a tweet, there will be many more immediately following, making your tweet fall lower and lower in the Twitter search engine. So if you really want to be a source on a trending topic, then tweet often enough to remain on the first page of the search results page.

Getting on the first page of a tweet search is definitely the easiest ranking work you can ever do on the internet. There is no magic or secret formula to it. Just tweet something relevant and on point and containing the trending topic or keyword that you want your post to appear in. It’s as simple as that.

How would you like to see for yourself? There is nothing to lose and you will soon find it a fun pastime or the easiest business move you’ve ever made. So, all that’s left to ask is, “What’s happening?”

  • Twittering

There are a number of different reasons why people enjoy twittering. Although Twitter is a social network and people use it for that, it also is a great way to get advice, stay up to date on news, ask questions, and basically find out anything you are interested in.

People use Twitter as a social network and enjoy twittering even though it is pretty different from Facebook and MySpace. Twitter does not have a profile page where you write about who you are, what you like, and post tons of pictures. The profile page on Twitter is very basic and only has a basic biography form to fill out and then lists the Tweets you have posted. Instead of conveying who you are through a profile page where you list all there is to know about yourself, people get to know you by reading your tweets. A lot of people express things about their social lives when twittering which others may become interested in. For example, you can post a tweet asking if anyone wants to go to the movies Friday night, or you can convey how you are single and looking. Anything you want to express about yourself you can while twittering. If someone follows your tweets and is interested in hanging out with you or meeting you for the first time, they can let you know by responding to your tweet. Twittering creates an easy way to broadcast how you feel and what you want to do without contacting people individually.

People also enjoy twittering because they can share interesting links and news stories with their followers. Twitter is a great way to stay on top of news whether it is world news or celebrity gossip. While twittering, people can post links on their tweets that their followers can click on if they think the page will interest them. This is a great way to find out the latest news and interesting information that you will be interested in because it comes from people who are your followers and share your interests. Twittering also gives you the opportunity to share things that you think other people will be interested in as well. If your followers do find the links you posted interesting then you can discuss it over twitter as well.

Because of twittering, Twitter is also used as a search engine. Twitter is different from other search engines because as soon as information is posted, it becomes available. Therefore, you can find out the latest news as soon as someone else has been tweeting about it. Many people are not aware that twitter can be used to search for important information, but since a lot of people enjoy twittering about news, it is a great source.

Twittering is also another way to pass the time on the internet. A lot of people will find themselves on Twitter when they are bored or are trying to avoid work. Even though twitter is a great social network and an important medium for news, keep in mind that it should not be used as a distraction to other things that need to get done. Twittering can become addicting, just like any other online social network, so keeping a healthy balance and only using Twitter when a break is necessary or you really do not have anything to do is important to remember.
