You take the distance from the TV to you then divide that number by 1.5. For example if you are seventy two inches from the LCD TV, then the biggest one should purchase should be forty eight inches. This is very simple right? So when you find out how big your room is, then you can get the TV that will fit it.

    How much to spend
    When trying to put together the entertainment system of your dreams or budget, you should definitely know the maximum amount you want to invest. Remember, the more you invest now, the less you have to invest later if you think you need a better system. The rule is that you should buy the most features that you can afford. This way if something new comes out, your system can connect to it.

    If you are buying an LCD TV and a sound system, generally you should spend seventy percent of the budget on the sound system. Sound is the majority of your entertainment experience and the TV is just the visual part. Now you want to ensure that the LCD TV that you buy will be visually extravagant, but your sound system should not be a cheap system.

    You should also search around on the internet for some special deals as well. You should not just go into one store and by the first LCD TV or sound system you come across. Ask lots of questions to ensure that you are getting the best system for your money. Gather lots of information and then go home to think about what you learned that day. Look at the space again and then decide who has treated you the best and who has all the services and accessories that you need to complete the system you desire. Your money is important to you and you work hard for it. Get the system that you really want that is not going to put you over budget.

    If you want a bigger HD TV but do not have the money for it, there are also options available for your situation. Plenty of people purchase used televisions from the internet. If you purchase a used HDTV you can get the same quality television for much cheaper because someone has been watching it for the past year or so. However, make sure to fully inspect the product before purchasing it if it is used. You do not want to pay for something and then realize that it does not work or has a huge crack in it or something.

    Today, many people are switching to a HD TV because they want better resolution from their television which leads to a better viewing experience. However, it is important to keep in mind that you should not buy what you cannot afford. If you are looking to purchase a HDTV, make sure you have the appropriate funding for what you are looking to buy. The last thing you want to do is get yourself into financial trouble because you spent all of your money on a television. Watching television is a very enjoyable thing to do, and even more enjoyable on a HDTV, but you cannot enjoy life if you spent too much money on your television and now are in a financial crisis.

  • My New HDTV

    When my old-school, huge, box TV finally broke after years and years of life, I decided I was going to spring the big bucks and buy a HDTV. I love watching TV, so I figured that I might as well treat myself to something I would really enjoy. Everyone else was getting HDTVs anyway, and I figured that eventually all television would be digital. It did not make any sense to buy anything else, since all the new technology is pointing in that direction.

    Before I went to buy my HDTV, I figured I should probably do a little research so I did not make any drastic decisions. I knew that the moment I went to the electronic store, I would want to buy a TV immediately. They are all so pretty and shiny and I knew the minute I saw one I would want to take it home, stick it in my living room, and fire it up. When the HDTV first came out it seemed like a pipe dream. I never thought I would be able to really own one of my own.

    After my TV broke and I knew I wanted an HDTV, the first thing I researched was how expensive an HDTV was going to cost. After a little bit of research, it became pretty clear that I was going to need to do a little bit of saving up before I went to make my purchase. I did not want a small TV because I love having a big picture. I knew that a 32” was way too small, but for what I could afford at the time, I could barely even pay for a 32”.

    The next thing I took in consideration when I was researching what kind of HDTV I wanted to buy was whether I wanted an LCD or plasma TV. I quickly realized that not only were plasma TVs more expensive than LCD Tvs, they also did not make sense for me. I researched all of the pros and cons of both types of HDTVs and I decided that the LCD HDTV was the type of TV I could afford, and it also seemed to be a little more durable. It is not as light as the Plasmas, but I did not want to hang it on the wall or anything like that. I already had a really nice entertainment system I wanted to use for my new HDTV.

    It took me a few weeks of not going out to eat or spending money on any crazy shopping trips for me to save up enough money to buy an HDTV that I was really going to like and be happy with. After the long wait for the TV shopping trip, I was anxious and excited the day I finally got to go and really purchase my HDTV. I took a really long time browsing through all the different TVs. I loved just looking at them and knowing that very soon I was going to own my very own HDTV.  When I finally came across the perfect TV, I knew immediately. It was just the right size, the perfect price, and exactly what I wanted. I made my purchase and went home very happy with my new TV. After setting it up, I have been very pleased with the clearer picture and overall quality of my new and improved TV. It was definitely worth the time, money, and research I put into it.
