  • Celebrities Are Made From Regular People
    By admin on December 16, 2009 | 2 Comments2 Comments Comments

There are countless numbers of people out there are considered to be at a higher status than others. It is not inconceivable for there to be millions of these kinds of people. The media has a big influence on who is considered a celebrity or who is not. The people that make a big splash on the silver screen or are considered at a higher level than the average person are considered celebrity . These people may also be considered as famous.

    Where Do You Find Them?
When people think about famous people they may think of them at a higher level than their selves. For most people they spend a lot of their time idolizing these famous people and spending their time trying to follow the news around these folks. What industries have celebrities in them? Well you will find famous or well-known people in every industry.

If you are in to sports, you will find that celebrities are all over the place. You will find them in the football, soccer, bowling, basketball, baseball and hockey industries. It is assured that one industry would be more famous than another. Some people even believe that the more a person is on television performing their sport well they are considered more of a celebrity than the other players. Some players will have endorsements with major labels in which some of that income could be more than their salary for playing their sport.

Actors and actresses are also considered celebrities. People will often idolize over these regular everyday people that just happened to find someone who thought they were a star. There is not a formula to success. It is a great opportunity for someone to who was serving tables a week ago to have a starring role on a movie. Sometimes you will find that the director might see talent in an extra that is out there helping to fill in the background. Actors find that millions of people will come to their movies and support their celebrity status.

You can also find celebrities in politics, arts, music and other various places. Being famous is all in the eye of the beholder. You will find that celebrities do not often think of their selves as celebrities. They think they are regular people that do regular things. The only thing that makes them different is that they made a living in the eye of the public.

    Some Issues
There are some issues that face celebrities all the time. They find that they cannot just walk outside to the store as they did before they were stars. They find that there is always someone trying to take their picture and tell a story about it. You can pick up magazines all the time and see all kinds of articles written about them. It is not uncommon for celebrities to have people do shopping for them or make necessary errands instead of their selves. At some point with celebrities it gets pretty annoying for their life to always be documented. It seems to nothing worse than when you think you are a stand up celebrity and they you see your picture in a magazine with an untrue story associated with it. Regular every day people say that they have issues to deal with on a daily basis. Celebrities have similar issues as well. No matter what anyone says, they are still regular people who have just gotten their big break.

  • What are Celebrities?
By admin on November 19, 2009 | No Comments Comments

The main idea and concept of what a celebrity is has changed dramatically in the past twenty years. Today, with reality television, it is difficult to determine celebrities from average people who just happened to get onto TV for one reason or another.

When you are little, celebrities were movie stars and pop singers. My very favorite celebrities were the Spice Girls. I was absolutely obsessed with them. I knew all of their songs by heart and my friends and I would dress up to represent the Spice Girls and we would video tape ourselves while we danced and lip sang to the lyrics. The girl band was so glorified to pre teens in America and all over the world. They were a sensation and almost every little girl I knew wanted to grow up to be just like them. I had fantasies of being the next Spice Girl, or even just getting to meet the group.

I think when we are children celebrities seem like these amazing and glorious people who we should idolize. I remember having almost worship-like feelings towards particular famous people that I took a liking to. They seemed to be so much more than regular people, which is what they are. Posters and images of different celebrities were the décor in all of my friends’ rooms. It was strange if you walked into a thirteen-year old girl’s room and did not see posters of N Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Brad Pitt, or some other hunky celebrity.

Today, in 2009, the idea of what a celebrity is can be a bit confusing. Many people may say that celebrities are people on reality shows while many will argue the exact opposite. If you watch the reality shows you can get just as attached and obsessed with a reality TV star as you are with a film star or an actor on a television show. But, shouldn’t people keep in mind that the idea of being a celebrity is usually associated with some sort of talent or trait?

Celebrities should be considered celebrities because they are either talented enough to act or sing, or they have done something phenomenal for the world and they are famous because of that. Reality television starts today, although they may turn into celebrities, are a different sort of celebrity. A lot of the times, these people become celebrities because they have so much drama in their lives. A lot of people in America enjoy sitting back and watching the drama of the people on tv unfold. This is what makes these people celebrities.

It is interesting to think about  if the market for actors and actresses is going down now because of all the reality televisioon are seeing less actual talented celebrities on TV today, and instead are watching the drama of the rich or whoever else a producer decided to put onto TV.

Regardless, it is not my call or say who you think celebrities are. To an extent, I would say that the idea of whether a person is a celebrity or not is pretty subjective. If, in your head, they are a celebrity then they are to you. If they are not a celebrity in your mind, then they are not. You can decide who you want to consider celebrities or not.

  • Female Celebrities and the Spotlight
By admin on October 18, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Celebrities, especially female celebrities, are consistently the source of media attention and gossip. Once a woman is in the spot light, it is as if the whole world is watching her every move. Because of this, women who are famous have to be extremely careful about how they conduct themselves in all aspects of their lives since they are being watch and scrutinized from every possible angle. Every single thing they wear, say, and do is being watched by people all over the world. It is probably enough pressure to make them go insane.

For many female celebrities, living this life does drive them up a wall. The pressure to be beautiful and thin has led to a number of female celebrities with eating disorders. Think about it, whenever a celebrity puts on a little bit of weight, it is all over the magazines, television, and internet. Pictures of her larger body flare up all over the place along with everyone’s opinion about why she has gained weight and criticism with her for doing so. Because of this, many female celebrities become obsessed with keeping the skinny image, which often leads to very unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits.

Not only is body image a huge thing for female celebrities to worry about, they also must be careful when it comes to dating. Any time a celebrity is dating someone new or even just talking to someone, everyone knows about it. Celebrities do not have the luxury of being able to keep their private lives a secret. Because of this, female celebrities must be conscious of how they are acting with all men, because a certain move could be considered flirting by media. Before they know it, it is all over the news that they are dating somebody even if they are not. This is especially bad if they are already in a relationship because pretty soon rumors will be flying that they are cheating on their husband or boyfriend. If this is the case, imagine the drama and issues that can come about in their private lives just because they hugged or winked at the wrong person.

Female celebrities must also be the ideal mothers to their children because any wrong move could be conveyed as bad or unfit parenting. Everyone knows that parents sometimes snap or yell at their children. Having children is enough to drive anyone crazy. For female celebrities, any time they go into public with their children, their every act is looked at and any small thing they do that a reporter thinks is unfair or inappropriate becomes the next top story in a magazine. Think about the way most people act with their kids when their kids are being annoying or badly behaved. Some parents will even spank their children in a public place if they feel the need. Some people might stare, but for the most part no one is fazed. For female celebrities, doing this would result in certain negative media attention.

It is no wonder that so many female celebrities can’t handle the pressure of the world breathing down their back. With constant attention and pressure in every aspect of their lives, it is surprising that more of them don’t break down with depression or anxiety. Living in the spotlight all the time must be a very difficult thing to do, but most female celebrities handle it with grace.

  • The Simple Truth Behind Celebrity Gossip
By admin on October 8, 2009 | No Comments Comments

Celebrity gossip is heard all over the world through television, internet, radio, magazines, and more. It is inescapable to most people, especially in America, because it is such a huge part of the American culture. For some reason, celebrity gossip often reaches people’s ears before other news that should be more attention grabbing. Children, teens, and many adults alike often know more about celebrity gossip than they do about world events and political decisions.

It is no secret that the latest news on celebrities can be far more entertaining than politics, religion, disasters, and war. Many people enjoy hearing about other people’s trials and tribulations with their personal, marital, and professional careers. Celebrity gossip is also exposed on television channels that have a lot of young viewers, so children and teens are being taught to care and appreciate the latest in the lives of celebrities.

For some reason celebrity scandals, deaths, and romances receive so much more media attention and press than world events. Perhaps it is because there is a definite market for this type of media. Many people will tune right into the VH1 or MTV news stories about what is going on in the world of celebrity gossip, but will flip right through all the news channels, even when important stories are on. It is not secret to most people that Angelina and Brad are having marital problems, Chris Brown hit Rihanna, Taylor Swift was rudely interrupted during her acceptance speech at the VMAs, or that one of the Olsen twins had an eating disorder. In fact, lots of people would consider all of these things very common knowledge, even though all of this is celebrity gossip.

If you are interested in celebrity gossip, make sure to understand that celebrities are just normal people like yourself and oftentimes their stories are exaggerated or simply falsely created by the media. Putting yourself in their shoes might open your eyes to how crazy their lives are because of all the celebrity gossip that circulates because of the media. Imagine something about you being exaggerated or a flat out lie being told and everyone in the world finding out about it. The celebrity gossip that exists about all the celebrities could very well be damaging to their mentality and happiness. Keep in mind that celebrities are just normal people and they can be hurt, damaged, and suffer, just like everyone else in the world.

It is no lie that celebrity gossip is entertaining to many people and is often a subject of conversation and controversy. The struggles, hardships, and joys of celebrities can often divert the attention of people who are struggling with their own lives and interest them in something else. Sometimes, seeing the troubles celebrities are experiencing can make people feel better about their own lives. Because, if celebrities are having difficulties, then of course everyone else is going to be having them as well. Also, hearing celebrity gossip is sometimes simply entertaining. Some people enjoy it because it is so ridiculous that the media is paying so much attention to personal lives of people who are famous for some reason or another. Some people enjoy celebrity gossip for the sheer silliness of it.

Regardless of whether you enjoy listening to the media coverage on celebrities, it is a part of the American culture and will continue to be throughout the upcoming years. Celebrity gossip is one of the most popular forms of entertainment because the lives of celebrities are so interesting to others.
