An Ebook That Succeeds
Specialized Software — By Shopping Blogs on November 8, 2010 6:24 amNot all Ebooks find readers. The reader that reaches out for an Ebook is usually very different from one who reads books sold in bookshops. Usually fiction sells on paper, the most successful Ebooks, however are the “How to” Ebooks or books that guide.
If you want to create an Ebook that has instant market, think of something, especially in the field of technology or medicine, which people would need to know but usually don’t. The book will have to be helpful and should help solve their problem. People need ready remedies to their problems and they find it easier to read through Ebooks than through voluminous books. Besides they can buy the Ebook that meets their needs instantly, most of those who buy books from stores are the ones with sufficient time on their hands.
This brings us to the next point. Most of the people who download Ebooks are the ones who do not have too much time in their hands therefore you Ebooks have to be to the point. They should not beat about the bush. They should preferably not run into many pages. The sentences in your books should be crisp and without ambiguity.
To highlight this nature of your Ebook, you can provide a small excerpt from your book free. Any reader who reads this excerpt will know that your book does not have useless information but is packed with material that will be of use to him. When you choose an excerpt, make sure that you do not give away the part containing crux of the book for free. The most important portion of your book should also not be covered in the excerpt. You could make the excerpt like a teaser and let the reader see the page that leads to the most important portion of your book. This would whet his appetite for more and he would want to purchase the book.
The title of you Ebook is very important. The title need not be creative or over-the-top. In fact, the more factual the title is, the better it is. The title itself should give a clear picture to the reader about the nature of the book. For example “Three ways to burn fat without diet” would be a straightforward title that would tell the reader what to expect.
Make sure that the advertisements for your Ebooks do not look like spam. The Internet is overflowing with Ebooks that are nothing but a scam to make money and people are varying of such books. Do not try to get gimmicky, have an advertisement that looks sincere.
Try to start your own blog or website to support the Ebook. This can handle queries about the book and also showcase your authority as a writer of the subject. You can also run testimonials of people who benefited from your book. But testimonials can be fabricated too so make sure you have ones that look cent percent authentic.
Nothing can guarantee the success of your Ebooks but with focus on the above points and an attention to quality, you stand a good chance.
